Scripture Study

1 Cor 1:3; Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

1 Cor 1:9; God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

1 Cor 1:10; I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

1 Cor 1:17; For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

1 Cor 1:18, For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Cor 1:19, For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

1 Cor 1:20, Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

1 Cor 1:21, For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

1 Cor 1:22, Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,

1 Cor 1:23; but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

1 Cor 1:24; but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

1 Cor 1:25, For the foolishness of God is wiser than manís wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than manís strength.

1 Cor 1:26, Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.

1 Cor 1:27, But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

1 Cor 1:28, He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are,

1 Cor 1:29, so that no one may boast before him.

1 Cor 1:30; It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

1 Cor 1:31, Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”

1 Cor 2:5; so that your faith might not rest on menís wisdom, but on Godís power.

1 Cor 2:9; However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”—

1 Cor 2:10; but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

1 Cor 2:13; This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

1 Cor 2:16; “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?”

1 Cor 3:3; You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?

1 Cor 3:16; Donít you know that you yourselves are Godís temple and that Godís Spirit lives in you?

1 Cor 4:2; Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

1 Cor 4:5; Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

1 Cor 5:3; Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present.

1 Cor 5:4; When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present,

1 Cor 5:5; hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.

1 Cor 5:11; But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.

1 Cor 6:1; If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints?

1 Cor 6:2; Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?

1 Cor 6:3; Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

1 Cor 6:4; Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, appoint as judges even men of little account in the church!

1 Cor 6:5; I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? 6But instead, one brother goes to law against another and this in front of unbelievers!

1 Cor 6:6; But instead, one brother goes to law against another and this in front of unbelievers!

1 Cor 6:9; Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

1 Cor 6:10; nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Cor 6:11; And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Cor 6:19; Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

1 Cor 7:1; Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry.

1 Cor 7:2; But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.

1 Cor 7:3; The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.

1 Cor 7:4; The wifeís body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husbandís body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife.

1 Cor 8:1; Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

1 Cor 8:6; yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

1 Cor 9:22; To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.

1 Cor 9:27; No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

1 Cor 10:7; Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry.”

1 Cor 10:11; These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.

1 Cor 10:12; So, if you think you are standing firm, be ca

1 Cor 10:13; No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

1 Cor 11:18; In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it.

1 Cor 12:11; All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

1 Cor 13:4; Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

1 Cor 13:5; It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

1 Cor 13:6; Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

1 Cor 13:7; It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

1 Cor 15:51; Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—

1 Cor 15:52; in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

1 Cor 15:58; Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

"Praise God
His Holy Word,
